Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at PeaceHealth. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians and providers in the delivery of patient care, working within the scope of practice for a Medical Assistant.
  • Prepare patients for examination and treatment, taking and recording patient history and vital signs as applicable.
  • Prepare exam and/or treatment rooms, selecting, setting up, and maintaining medical supplies and equipment for all examinations, procedures, and/or anesthesia interviews as applicable.
  • Give injections, apply splints and dressings, and facilitate simple wound management under provider orders.
  • Prepare and maintain supplies and equipment for treatments, including transporting specimens.
  • May assist in scheduling patients for tests, initial and follow-up appointments.
  • May maintain patient files, records, and other information, including entry of data into electronic medical records.
  • May provide phone screening of patients to appropriate clinical staff and/or physicians.
  • Collaborate with a variety of personnel and departments to ensure smooth clinic operations.
Requirements
  • Accredited program in Medical Assisting or Medical Office Assisting required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical office preferred.
  • Basic Life Support certification required.
  • State of Washington Medical Assistant - certified licensure required.
  • National Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred.
