Job Summary

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Lakewood, CO office. As an Electrical Engineer at TRC, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for high voltage substations and transmission projects.

Responsibilities
  • Perform design activities requiring a basic understanding of drawings, calculations, specifications, and industry standards and practices.
  • Develop detailed designs for high voltage substation and transmission projects through 345kV.
  • Prepare, provide guidance, or assist in preparing and developing engineering deliverables for electric substation projects.
  • Develop one & three line diagrams, schematics and wiring diagrams, relay settings and calculations, control and relaying panel layouts and specifications, and SCADA system and communications interfaces.
  • Assist in the preparation of engineering drawings, calculations, cost estimates, specifications, evaluations, and requisitions.
  • Develop professional work knowledge and abilities in one or more of the following areas: Civil Engineering, Communications Systems, Distribution Engineering, Electrical Control Systems, Substation Design, Protective Relaying, Substation Automation, Transmission Systems, and Power Systems Analysis.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited engineering program.
  • Power Concentration preferred, not required.
  • EIT or pursuing EIT preferred.
