Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Hospice House team as a PRN (as needed) nurse. As a Hospice House Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to individuals and their families in our hospice house setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care for patients, in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team and physician.
  • Provide skilled nursing services, including symptom management and comfort care, to patients in accordance with their plan of care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Collaborate with the hospice team to ensure that patient needs are met and that care is delivered in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Document patient care and progress accurately and thoroughly, in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Kansas.
  • Several years of clinical experience, preferably in hospice or home health care.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion.
Preferred Qualifications
  • BSN degree.
  • Previous experience in hospice or home health care.
  • Certification as a Hospice and Palliative Care Nurse.
