About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Build Engineer to join our team at CBRE. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our buildings and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform sophisticated preventive and corrective maintenance, repairs, and installations of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC equipment.
  • Monitor building system operations and performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
  • Work under general direction, with critical, specialized knowledge required at client sites.
  • Follow all applicable codes, regulations, and company directives related to building operations and work safety.
  • Operate, maintain, and monitor building equipment, including mechanical, HVAC, plumbing systems, electrical/cabling, fire detection and suppression, life safety, lighting, temperature control systems, building management systems, and digital systems.
  • Maintain the professional appearance of the property, equipment, engineering spaces, and common areas.
  • Prepare estimates detailing the amount of time and materials needed for completing tasks.
  • Maintain supplies and tools and order materials to finish tasks.
  • Maintain an energy management program to ensure all systems operate efficiently to minimize operating costs.
  • Oversee and inspect the work performed by outside contractors.
  • Perform work in compliance with standard operating procedures and/or critical work packages, and maintenance work instructions.
  • Perform inspection of building systems, including fire alarms, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
  • Respond to emergency situations and customer concerns.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and eight years of demonstrated ability in electrical systems, refrigeration, and/or HVAC.
  • Universal CFC certification required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic skills with Microsoft Office Outlook.
  • Physical requirements include stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
