Commissions Analyst

The Commissions Analyst plays a critical role in supporting our Commission and Data Analysis Team. This position is responsible for applying advanced data analysis principles and procedures to analyze financial information, assist in preparing accurate and timely financial reports and statements, and ensure appropriate finance control procedures.

• Facilitate a wide range of finance and data analysis functions, including preparation and review of monthly reconciliations.
• Analyze, interpret, and process financial transactions from commissions and production statements.
• Ensure records are maintained in accordance with generally accepted accounting and finance principles.
• Update and maintain records detailing financial business transactions.
• Become proficient in the use of commissions reconciliation systems and understand the ramifications of data entered and its impact on the financial operations of the company.
• Enter commissions statements received into spreadsheets and database systems in an accurate and timely manner.
• Perform analytical computations necessary to process commissions and any other interdepartmental data.
• Maintain records of commission issues, carrier follow-up procedures, as well as open and closed cases.
• Collaborate across all departments and functional levels of the organization and adapt to the needs of the organization.

• Degree in Accounting/Finance or a minimum of 2 years of related work experience; some college is preferred.
• Previous experience in administering sales compensation plans, handling confidential matters, analyzing, and creating financial reporting.
• Attention to detail is required, ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, to work independently, prioritize assignments and meet deadlines.
• Ability to analyze, interpret and implement sales plans and rate schedules.
• Must possess excellent interpersonal skills to communicate with sales and other departments.
• Advance knowledge in Microsoft Excel required.
• Bilingual Spanish-English required.
