Classroom Assistant

At Start Bright Academy, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Childcare Floater. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about providing exceptional care and education to children in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

• Provide support to the teaching team in the classroom, ensuring a safe and consistent youth development environment.
• Work in a variety of age ranges, from 6 weeks to 12 years, and be flexible with daily assignments.
• Establish and maintain a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and the entire faculty to achieve program goals and objectives.

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Meet State of VA requirements as a childcare center worker.
• CPR/First Aid certification or obtain within the first week of employment.
• Formal education in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Ongoing professional development in child development required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to build rapport with families and community members.
• Meet physical requirements of the job, including lifting up to 50 pounds.

• Part-time schedule with 8 hour shifts, Monday to Friday.
• Competitive hourly rate of $9.50 - $12.00.
