Position Summary:
The Pediatric Registered Nurse plays a crucial role in delivering quality care to our young patients. This professional is responsible for managing patient assignments through effective nursing practices and collaboration with the healthcare team. The nurse will provide holistic care, ensuring that both patients and their families receive the support they need while being mindful of resource management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver compassionate nursing care to pediatric patients.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to enhance patient outcomes.
- Utilize nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Maintain a focus on cost-effectiveness and efficient time management.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of recent experience in pediatrics; training opportunities may be available for candidates with less experience.
- Associate's degree in nursing from an accredited institution.
- Valid RN license in California.
- BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications are required; PALS must be obtained during the orientation period if not already certified.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred.
- Experience in pediatric nursing is advantageous.
- Specialty training and relevant certifications are preferred.
Additional Information:
On-call duties may be necessary.
