Job Summary

As a Charge Nurse in our Med/Surg unit, you will provide leadership and coordination of unit staffing while ensuring implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our patients and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Assigns, directs, educates, and monitors nursing and support staff during assigned shifts.
  • Assesses daily patient care needs and develops and distributes patient care assignments.
  • Collaborates with advanced practice providers to ensure quality outcomes.
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of patient care and identifies any issues that affect desired patient outcomes.
  • Responds to complaints about patient care and manages through established channels.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing.
  • One year of registered nurse experience.
Work Environment

This role is located in the Med/Surg department at SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital. The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with a focus on providing high-quality patient care.
