Pediatric Nurse Specialist

Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse II to join our Pediatric Children's Health Center team. As a Registered Nurse II, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our multidisciplinary team.
Job Summary:The Registered Nurse II will work in a fast-paced endocrinology practice, supporting the pediatric specialty clinic. This role requires cross-training for other specialties to ensure seamless support for clinic needs. The ideal candidate will possess excellent assessment and triage skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess and room pediatric patients
- Triage incoming patient calls and respond appropriately
- Assist with insurance authorization of medication
- Coordinate at-home and community-based care
- Collaborate with the team to problem-solve and achieve desired outcomes
- Respond timely and effectively to deliverables
- Share knowledge, time, and competencies to assist other team members
- Ensure practices and procedures are inclusive of interpersonal and cultural diversity
- Act as a team lead, overseeing the work of others and ensuring tasks are completed according to deadlines and quality standards
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program required
- BSN degree preferred
- Current, unrestricted California RN license required
- BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required
- Ambulatory Nurse Certification or other specialty nursing certification required (or willing to obtain within one year from start date)
- A minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience required
- At least 2 years of medical office or hospital clinic experience is preferred
- Pediatric experience preferred
