The Foster Care Specialist is a critical role within our organization, responsible for providing case management social services to children, youth, or families assigned to their caseload. This position requires a strong ability to develop supportive relationships with clients and assist them in addressing and meeting their needs and goals.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement effective case plans/treatment plans in collaboration with clients and supervisors.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records, submitting required reports and providing statistical data as needed.
- Provide regular meetings with supervisors to discuss clinical issues, service delivery, and critical issues requiring supervisory consent or referral source authority.
- Assess and utilize knowledge of agency and community resources to support established case plans and individual client needs.
- Be readily accessible to clients for meetings at their convenience, including evenings and weekends.
- Bachelor's Degree in social work or a human services field.
- Two years of social service experience.
- Ability to fulfill regulatory requirements for Child Welfare Agencies, including background checks and certification as a driver of children.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable insurance coverage.
- Maintain a flexible schedule in response to program needs or caseload assignments.
- Sensitivity and responsiveness to cultural differences in the community.
- Ability to lift 30 lbs and physically attend to young children and infants.
