Banquet Captain

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Banquet Captain to join our team at the Club at Seabrook Island, Inc. As a Banquet Captain, you will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of our Club banquets and special events, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and Coordinate Banquet Staff: Lead a team of banquet servers, bartenders, and other support staff to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
• Event Execution: Work closely with the Banquet Manager to plan, coordinate, and execute banquets and special events, including setup, service, and breakdown.
• Staff Management: Supervise and train staff to ensure they are equipped to provide exceptional customer service and meet the high standards of the Club.
• Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate supplies and equipment are available for events.
• Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to guests, responding to their needs and ensuring their satisfaction.
• Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with the Banquet Manager, staff, and guests to ensure seamless execution and resolution of any issues.

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of two years of experience as a Banquet Captain or Supervisor in a similar environment.
• Leadership Skills: Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct staff to achieve exceptional results.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with staff, guests, and management.
• Customer Service Skills: Strong customer service skills, with the ability to provide exceptional service and resolve guest complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
• Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple events simultaneously.

Working Conditions:

The Banquet Captain will work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to noise, heat, and physical demands. The ability to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods, and work in a team environment is essential.

Compensation:

The Club at Seabrook Island, Inc. offers a competitive hourly wage, ranging from $22 to $23 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
