Job Overview

Thorlabs is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk I to join our team. As a key member of our warehouse operations, you will play a critical role in ensuring timely and accurate shipment of products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the picking and packing of orders in a timely and efficient manner, utilizing hand-held scanning devices to ensure accuracy.
  • Verify and maintain records of outgoing shipments, preparing items for shipment and ensuring compliance with distributor shipping requirements.
  • Assist in loading trucks, vans, or helping courier services to ensure packages are correctly routed.
  • Collaborate with inventory/receiving teams as needed to support business requirements.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of warehouse experience, with previous experience in inventory control a plus.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, or equivalent work experience.
  • Familiarity with computer software applications, including Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to work well in a team atmosphere, and adapt to changing priorities.
