Position Summary:

The Maintenance Technician reports directly to the Maintenance Manager and receives guidance from the General Manager, Chief Engineer, and Assistant General Manager as necessary. This role is essential in ensuring operational efficiency, maintaining building integrity, and enhancing the aesthetic appeal of the grounds. The technician will perform general mechanical and routine maintenance tasks across common areas and individual units, contributing to the overall guest satisfaction objectives of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular building maintenance and inspections, manage service requests, execute planned preventative maintenance, oversee pool maintenance, and perform light landscaping tasks. Familiarity with ADA pool lift protocols and maintenance is required.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the building's interior and exterior, promptly identifying and reporting any maintenance issues or safety hazards. Collaborate with the Lead Maintenance Attendant as necessary.
  • Respond effectively to emergency situations, demonstrating a thorough understanding of emergency protocols. Assist other departments with light cleaning, maintenance, and various operational activities as needed.
  • Address daily maintenance requests, providing support to guests and collaborating with other departments. Generate reports for housekeeping and maintenance, ensuring all logs are current.
  • Oversee the tracking, maintenance, and safe usage of maintenance supplies, tools, and resources, reporting any incidents to management as appropriate.
  • Offer on-site information regarding local attractions, events, and vacation opportunities to guests. Encourage client referrals and feedback to enhance service quality.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned or as circumstances dictate.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in general repairs, including proficiency with basic hand tools.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Effective oral and written communication abilities, capable of engaging with individuals at all levels.
  • Ability to professionally address common issues and concerns raised by guests.
  • Possession of or willingness to obtain pool certification.
