POSITION TITLE: Event Security Staff

REPORTS TO: Security Supervisor and Venue Manager

FLSA CLASS: Hourly Non-Exempt

The following job responsibilities are intended to outline the general nature and level of work expected from individuals in this role. They should not be interpreted as an exhaustive list of all tasks, responsibilities, and skills required for this position. Employees may be asked to perform additional duties outside of their standard responsibilities as necessary.

Position Overview:

The responsibilities of the security personnel include, but are not limited to, ensuring crowd management, safeguarding patrons, and protecting performers during events at the venue. This includes preparation and cleanup tasks. Security staff are tasked with addressing any safety concerns or crowd management issues that may arise while also providing exceptional customer service. Additionally, security personnel may assist with the logistics of band load-ins and load-outs, check tickets for entry, and engage in customer service roles during catered or special events. The role demands physical stamina and mental agility, with the ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Security staff must work well both independently and collaboratively within a team. Each employee is expected to perform their duties safely and report any safety issues to management. All employees should remain informed about company events, history, and offerings. Other responsibilities may be assigned by the on-duty manager.

Job Requirements:
  • Possess and maintain current certification as required
  • Relevant prior experience
  • Strong conflict resolution abilities
  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills
  • Availability for flexible scheduling, including shifts during evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events
