Scope of Work

The Registered Nurse (RN) will utilize the nursing process to provide professional nursing care to patients. This will involve assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and discharging patients. The RN will work under the direction of the Nurse Leader and will be responsible for providing quality patient care according to Corewell Health policies and procedures.

The RN will also be responsible for developing teaching strategies for patients and families, documenting education and learning in the health record, and partnering with patients and families to plan care and develop goals.

Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in Nursing is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required within 5 years.
  • Graduates from a non-accredited school of nursing must have at least one year of acute care experience or at least two years of experience in a licensed healthcare role and must have successfully passed the NCLEX licensure examination.
  • MI Registered Nurse (RN) licensure is required.
  • AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 90 days.
  • NIH Stroke Certification - NIHSS National Institute of Health Stroke Scale is required within 90 days.
