Job Summary

The Custodian - Sweeper is a vital member of the Alpine School District team, responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our facilities. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work independently and as part of a team to ensure our schools and grounds are always in top condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilities Maintenance: Clean and maintain assigned facilities and grounds, including classrooms, offices, gym, restrooms, and multipurpose rooms.
  • Site Preparation: Prepare facilities for daily operations, including opening gates, raising flags, and sweeping walkways.
  • Supply Management: Replenish classroom and restroom supplies, such as paper towels and soap.
  • Security: Secure facilities and grounds, including doors, gates, alarms, lights, and other equipment.
  • Team Support: Assist other site maintenance staff, including grounds and trades personnel, to complete custodial activities.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
