Dialysis Therapist

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dialysis Therapist to join our team at Fresenius Medical Care North America. As a Dialysis Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the safe and effective delivery of dialysis therapy.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with their dialysis treatment, including preparing them for treatment, monitoring their vital signs, and administering medications as directed by a licensed nurse.
• Conduct routine maintenance on dialysis machines, including cleaning and disinfecting the equipment, and performing quality control checks.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families on proper dialysis techniques, medication management, and lifestyle changes.
• Document patient information accurately and thoroughly, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.

Requirements

• CPR certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) training.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical or healthcare setting, preferably in dialysis or nephrology.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical records (EMRs).

Salary and Benefits
