We are seeking a highly skilled Rates Analyst II or III to join our Rates/Regulatory team in our US Corporate office in north, central Phoenix.

This individual will be responsible for researching, investigating, developing recommendations, reporting, and testifying on proper utility policies, rates, and economics.

Key Accountabilities
  • Prepare and submit timely and accurate regulatory reports and compile financial information and operational data necessary for filing rate applications to our various regulators in Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas.
  • Prepare sections of regulatory applications and complete written testimony and exhibits with supporting papers.
  • Respond to information requests and support testimony in public hearings.
  • Ensure rates are implemented correctly into our billing system.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Math, Finance, Economics, or Business required. An advanced degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in financial analysis or accounting. Experience/knowledge in Water Utility industry a plus.
  • Excellent quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills as well as strong communication skills, solid time management, and organization skills.
  • Solid knowledge of fundamental accounting concepts and understanding of analytical concepts for financial analysis as well as US GAAP accounting practices.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
