Job Description
Our City Utilities Operator plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity of our public infrastructure systems. This position involves installing, maintaining, and repairing or replacing water, wastewater, and stormwater facilities, assets, and lines. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, be able to work independently, and have a strong ability to operate various hand and power tools, as well as heavy construction equipment.

Key Responsibilities
- Installing and maintaining water, wastewater, and stormwater facilities, assets, and lines.
- Operating and maintaining equipment and vehicles such as heavy equipment, dump truck, front end loader, backhoe, and various hand tools.
- Maintaining records such as daily reports, material control documents, service requests, and map revisions.
- Providing customer service by answering questions, providing information and referrals, and resolving complaints and problems.

Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Six months or more of specialized training in utilities, water, stormwater and wastewater systems, or construction and equipment operation; and/or a combination of one to two years related experience.
- Valid Colorado driver's license required.
- Ability to obtain a Class A CDL within six months of hire date.
- Ability to obtain State of Colorado Distribution and Collection System Certifications 1-4.
- Ability to obtain NIMS 100 and 700 incident Command System Certifications.
