Position Details- Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit
- Discipline: Registered Nurse (RN)
- Employment Type: Travel
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours
- Shift Length: 12 hours
The Registered Nurse will be tasked with assessing patients and collaborating with physicians to provide optimal patient care. Responsibilities include:
- Planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care tailored to patient needs.
- Identifying patient requirements and prioritizing care through thorough assessment and planning.
- Developing and coordinating individualized care plans based on ongoing evaluations.
- Conducting assessments based on patient issues, medical diagnoses, and health frameworks.
- Performing therapeutic nursing interventions and managing patient care effectively.
- Documenting care in accordance with established standards and clinical priorities.
- Advocating for evidence-based care practices and supporting innovative care delivery methods.
- Providing patient-centered care in alignment with professional nursing standards.
- Completing additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of substantial experience in critical care, with a background in medical/surgical nursing.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- ACLS-AHA Certification
- BLS-AHA Certification
- NIHSS Certification
- Active RN License
Shifts are scheduled from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with every other weekend required and holidays as needed. There is no on-call duty.
Additional InformationThe role may involve caring for patients with Covid-19 and floating to various units within the hospital, including MedSurg, Telemetry, and Step Down units as necessary. Reliability and flexibility in scheduling are essential.
