We are seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Oceanside Unified School District. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a critical role in identifying and assessing individuals referred for communication disorders, providing direct specialized instruction and consultation services to support students with communication needs, and monitoring student progress to inform individualized educational programs (IEPs).
Key Responsibilities- Assess and identify individuals referred for communication disorders, including articulation, voice, fluency, and language delays.
- Provide direct specialized instruction and consultation services to support students with communication disorders.
- Monitor student progress and provide information for, and participate in, individualized educational programs (IEPs).
- Provide early intervening services for non-identified students.
To be considered for this role, you must have a valid California credential authorizing assignment as a Clinical Rehabilitative Services Credential or a Speech Language Pathology Services Credential. You must also have a Letter of Introduction, Resume, and -2 Current Letters of Recommendation (including a Supervisor). Additionally, you must have a Copy of Credential, and State License, ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (preferred), and Transcripts.
What We OfferOceanside Unified School District offers a collaborative working environment to support our Speech Language Pathologists in their work with our students. We provide funding for therapy materials and conferences, and we accept up to 11 years of credit for working in a school setting or clinical/private setting with children. We also have a shared commitment with the Oceanside Teachers Association to maintain reasonable district average caseloads for Speech Language Pathologists.
