Job Description

Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Nursing Assistant Cardiac will assist in the delivery of patient care. This includes performing personal care tasks, collecting and documenting vital signs, and providing assistance with ambulation, transfer, and positioning.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. They will also be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Required Qualifications
  • Must meet one of the following requirements:
  • 18 years of age or older
  • 17 years of age with a high school diploma or GED
  • Successful completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program
  • Completion of one semester of clinical rotations within an accredited nursing program
  • Completion of the Allina Health Nursing Assistant Academy Program
  • Previous direct patient care experience
Licenses/Certifications
  • Must meet one of the following requirements:
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
  • Current BLS certification from the American Red Cross
  • Allina in-house BLS training within 30 days of hire
