Job Summary:

As a Per Diem MRI Technologist with Rhode Island Medical Imaging, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients. Under the general supervision of the Lead MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for operating MRI equipment, positioning patients, and handling patient films and files. Your exceptional interpersonal skills will enable you to interact effectively with patients, referring physicians, and staff, ensuring a positive patient experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate MRI equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images
• Position patients and handle patient films and files with care and attention to detail
• Interact effectively with patients, referring physicians, and staff to ensure a positive patient experience
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines

Requirements:

• ARRT registration and MR certification
• IV experience required
• Ability to work in Zone 3 and Zone 4 environments
• Physical dexterity and strength to operate MRI equipment and handle patient films and files

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bilingual skills in Spanish or Portuguese

Physical Demands:

• Walks and stands intermittently throughout the day
• May lift and position patients and supplies up to 50 pounds
• Ability to move patients from scanner table and transport patients in wheelchairs and/or stretchers
• Ability to crouch, reach, and lift to allow appropriate manipulation positioning and placement of ancillary equipment

Working Conditions:

• Exposure to high magnetic fields and occasional RF exposure
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
