We are in search of a Senior Electrochemical Engineer who possesses a wealth of experience and expertise in the field. This role is pivotal in guiding the design and development of electrolyzer systems, ensuring they are primed for commercial deployment.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to innovate and refine both single and multi-cell electrolyzer technologies.
- Design, construct, and assess the performance of electrolyzer systems tailored for various industrial applications.
- Effectively communicate experimental findings to a diverse team of professionals.
- Conduct techno-economic evaluations to enhance cost-effectiveness during the prototype phase.
- Establish and enforce safety protocols and operational guidelines for chemical management and risk mitigation.
- Utilize electroanalytical methods such as impedance spectroscopy, voltammetry, and catalyst electrodeposition.
- Advanced degree (Ph.D. or M.S.) in chemical, mechanical, or electrical engineering, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of four years of hands-on experience with electrolyzer or fuel cell technologies.
- Proven track record in the design, construction, or performance evaluation of electrolyzer systems.
- Strong ability to convey complex scientific concepts and collaborate effectively with team members from varied backgrounds.
- Experience in developing safety protocols and operational procedures for chemical handling.
- Demonstrated experience in performing techno-economic analyses to optimize electrolyzer performance.
- Expertise in electrode fabrication and performance enhancement.
- Familiarity with metal deposition techniques and lithography methods.
- Proficiency in modeling software such as MATLAB, Python, and COMSOL.
- Strong mechanical skills and experience with gas management systems.
- Background in early-stage technology startups.
