Academic Mentor

About the Role:

We are seeking a talented Part-Time Academic Mentor to make an impact in the lives of others. This is a part-time role that offers growth opportunities and a chance to transform lives.

Purpose and Impact:

As an Academic Mentor, you will provide ongoing coaching and direct mentorship to youth to achieve their academic goals in their education and individualized service plans. You will work closely with a supervisor and colleagues to facilitate activities and discussions designed to promote academic growth and achievement.

Responsibilities:

- Provide coaching and mentorship to youth to overcome academic challenges
- Work with youth to develop strategies for learning based on their individual learning style
- Help students grow in confidence and ability

Requirements:

- Some post-secondary education required with a preference for Associate's degree or above
- Two years' experience working with a diverse youth client base; experience working with youth in an organized/structured setting preferred
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
