Job Summary

Xpress Global Systems, LLC is seeking a skilled Dockworker/Forklift Operator II to join our team. As a key member of our warehouse operations, you will be responsible for loading and unloading freight, sorting products, and ensuring trailers are properly and accurately loaded.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support dock workers during a specified shift to ensure freight is properly loaded and unloaded to ensure on-time and error-free delivery.
  • Serve as backup for absentee workers.
  • Offload delivery trucks transporting merchandise into the warehouse.
  • Load or unload freight by hand or with freight handling tools such as lift trucks, pallet jacks, or side carts.
  • Use scanners to read barcodes on products and verify shipping information.
  • Receive and put away inventory, confirming merchandise information matches that of the work order.
  • Attach barcodes to freight for tracking and routing, and finalize the work order and update the database.
  • Inspect merchandise for damage, flaws, and irregularities, and ensure product meets quality requirements.
  • Report overage, shortages, and damages according to operating procedures.
  • Sort and segregate freight by destination, and verify freight counts.
  • Dock clean-up as needed, and perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • 6 months experience in a warehouse or fulfillment environment.
  • Previous experience as a fulfillment associate.
  • Knowledge of warehousing procedures is an advantage.
  • Ability to read and interpret written work orders.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • 18 years old, and meet minimum hiring criteria.
Physical and Mental Requirements
  • Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Experience operating lift trucks, pallet jacks, or side carts is desired.
  • Frequently lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 70 pounds, pull up to 100 pounds, and push up to 50 pounds.
  • Occasionally climb stairs, frequently stoop, kneel, or crouch.
Work Environment

Most work is conducted in a comfortable office environment, but exposure to site conditions may also occur. Personal protective equipment must be worn in all areas as required.
