The Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) is part of AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS), responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from large and fast-growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers, including public sector. We work backwards from our customer's most complex and business-critical problems to build and execute go-to-market plans that turn AWS ideas into multi-billion-dollar businesses.
We are looking for a highly skilled Cloud Security Solutions Architect to join our WWSO Security GTM team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping customers secure their cloud estates by providing expertise across the entire life cycle of an AWS customer initiative, from developing ideas for new services to accelerating the adoption of established businesses.
Key Responsibilities
• Represent the voice of the customer, collaborating with field and central teams to bring customer feedback to product teams. Lead curation of custom feature and availability requests for unique customer use cases.
• Provide advanced technical knowledge to aligned GTM teams to unblock customers' largest and most critical business challenges.
• Own the technical bar for specialist technical artifacts and standards, working alongside the extended team.
• Collaborate with GTM colleagues to provide technical insights into GTM strategy and support field marketing to execute local technical events, campaigns, and customer engagements.
• Act as a thought leader, sharing best practices through AWS blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures, and public-speaking events such as AWS Summit, AWS re: Invent, etc.
• Guide and support an AWS internal community of technical subject matter experts aligned to customers. Create field enablement materials for the broader SA population to help them understand how to integrate new AWS solutions into customer architectures.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of experience in design/implementation/consulting of distributed applications, with 5+ years of management of technical, customer-facing resources and 5+ years of security experience with an emphasis on the cloud.
• History of successful technical consulting and/or architecture engagements with large-scale customers or enterprises, experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud, and familiarity with common enterprise services and software development tools and methodologies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT management, and developers. Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries and AWS Solution Architecture certification or relevant cloud expertise are highly desired.
• Computer Science or relevant degree and/or experience are also highly desired.
