Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team at Tyler Oral & Facial Surgery. As a key member of our surgical team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and supporting the success of our surgeons.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care: Provide routine technical nursing duties, including starting intravenous lines, administering medications, and monitoring patient vital signs during surgery and in recovery.
  • Team Leadership: Serve as the team lead for your respective surgeon and surgical team, providing guidance, oversight, and maintaining schedules.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with primary care providers to obtain patient medical history information and surgical clearance, and document as needed.
  • Administrative Tasks: Clean and maintain clinical equipment, dispose of used supplies correctly, and perform patient triage and post-operative care instructions as necessary.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) with current certification, CPR/BLS Certification (or ability to complete within 1 month of hire)
  • Experience: 2 or more years of previous experience (preferred), experience with IV's and intravenous medications (preferred)
  • Skills: Good organizational skills, attention to detail, leadership, problem-solving, and ability to multi-task and prioritize
