Aims Community College is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Medical Preparation Faculty member to join our team. As a faculty member, you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, facilitating hands-on activities, and preparing students for future careers in healthcare through practical skills development and academic guidance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide effective and high-quality instruction to students in the field of medical preparation.
  • Provide competent student advising and guidance to ensure students achieve their academic goals.
  • Assist in refining and modernizing curriculum to meet the high standards of the College.
  • Develop curriculum as assigned and maintain currency in the field of expertise.
  • Participate in College committees and organizations, and engage in community service opportunities as assigned.
  • Teach on various campuses and outreach sites at various times, including evenings and weekends, as assigned.
  • Use alternative delivery technology, including online instruction, to enhance student learning.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree from an accredited school, college, or university.
  • Current, unrestricted EMT Basic, EMT Advanced, or EMT Paramedic Certification.
  • Minimum of two years of EMS experience.
  • BLS Instructor CPR certification or qualify for the same within one month of hire.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment post-offer urine analysis.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in related fields.
  • Experience in a community college teaching environment, curriculum writing, and alternative delivery instruction.
  • Five years or greater of patient-oriented EMS experience.
  • Computer literacy (Word, PowerPoint, D2L).
  • Evidence of prior teaching/training in health occupation-related areas.
