Responsible for the assessment, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care, which includes direct patient care, education for patients and families, and management of care transitions in an acute care environment. Provides comprehensive and personalized care to all patients within a designated area. Develops, implements, and coordinates a care plan that considers psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors. Cultivates and maintains collaborative relationships among patients, their families/support systems, physicians, and other healthcare professionals through timely and effective communication. Complies with hospital policies, industry standards, best practices, and relevant laws and regulations to enhance the patient experience.

EDUCATION:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:
  • Registered Nurse (RN) in California
  • BLS - Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers

DEPARTMENT REQUIRED CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:

  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support for Healthcare Providers

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 2 years of ICU or ER experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care hospital setting.
  • Experience as an RN in Interventional Radiology.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Demonstrated knowledge and competence in nursing theories, concepts, and practices; medical terminology; anatomy; and physiology.
  • Familiarity with the healthcare industry, safety policies, best practices for patient care and privacy, and changes in local/state/federal regulations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences, including non-medical individuals.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize patient care and assignments while adhering to standardized policies and procedures.
  • Basic proficiency in computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team, managing multiple interventions in a dynamic environment.
  • Capacity to communicate and engage with team members, patients, and families in various stressful situations.
  • Utilization of established procedures and critical thinking to identify and resolve routine or complex issues.
  • Commitment to ensuring the privacy of each patient's protected health information (PHI).
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships with peers and other healthcare providers to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
  • Skill in prioritizing assignments and working within standardized policies and scientific methods to meet objectives and deadlines.

Pay Range: $68.66 to $89.93 / hour

The salary range for this role may vary based on location and other factors including experience, education, skills, licensure, and departmental needs.
