About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Addictions Counselor to join our team at The Orenda Center of Wellness. As a key member of our clinical team, you will play a vital role in providing individualized treatment to our clients struggling with substance abuse.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions, adhering to the 3.3 level of care course curriculum
  • Manage a full case load of enrolled clients, providing clinical assessments and treatment planning
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, incorporating evidence-based practices
  • Conduct regular progress updates and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance clinical skills
Requirements
  • Certificate of completion in addiction counseling, associate degree, bachelor's degree, or Master's degree
  • Appropriate Maryland state licensing and/or credentials, such as ADT, CSC-AD, CAC-AD, LGADC, LCADC, LGPC, or LMSW
  • Working knowledge of ASAM criteria and regulatory standards of care
  • Minimum of 1-2 years' experience working in addiction treatment and/or mental health counseling as a licensed provider
  • Experience facilitating therapeutic groups and administering clinical assessments
  • Experience with treatment planning, clinical notations, and EMR charting
  • Ability to pass local and federal background checks, as well as clear a full panel drug screening
  • Strong de-escalation skills and ability to handle crisis intervention
What We Offer
  • Competitive starting salary, ranging from $51,000 to $62,000 annually
  • Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm, full-time hours
