We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Addictions Counselor to join our team at The Orenda Center of Wellness. As a key member of our clinical team, you will play a vital role in providing individualized treatment to our clients struggling with substance abuse.
Responsibilities- Facilitate group therapy sessions, adhering to the 3.3 level of care course curriculum
- Manage a full case load of enrolled clients, providing clinical assessments and treatment planning
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, incorporating evidence-based practices
- Conduct regular progress updates and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance clinical skills
- Certificate of completion in addiction counseling, associate degree, bachelor's degree, or Master's degree
- Appropriate Maryland state licensing and/or credentials, such as ADT, CSC-AD, CAC-AD, LGADC, LCADC, LGPC, or LMSW
- Working knowledge of ASAM criteria and regulatory standards of care
- Minimum of 1-2 years' experience working in addiction treatment and/or mental health counseling as a licensed provider
- Experience facilitating therapeutic groups and administering clinical assessments
- Experience with treatment planning, clinical notations, and EMR charting
- Ability to pass local and federal background checks, as well as clear a full panel drug screening
- Strong de-escalation skills and ability to handle crisis intervention
- Competitive starting salary, ranging from $51,000 to $62,000 annually
- Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm, full-time hours
- Clinical supervision provided onsite, at no additional cost
