Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Fair Housing Specialist at the Fair Housing Center of Southwest Michigan. As a key member of our staff, you will play a critical role in promoting fair housing and combating housing discrimination in our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate complaints of housing discrimination and provide support to clients
  • Accurately input information into our case management system and maintain up-to-date records
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with community organizations and stakeholders to advance fair housing
  • Represent the Fair Housing Center at meetings and events to promote our mission and services
  • Assist in the planning and coordination of training events, webinars, and meetings to educate the public on fair housing issues
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the Fair Housing Center's mission and goals
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of fair housing laws and regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Detail-oriented and organized with strong analytical skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Preferred bilingual or multilingual skills
