Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at UMass Memorial Health. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will provide exceptional care to patients in our acute care setting, utilizing your expertise in detoxification and addiction medicine.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients, incorporating evidence-based practices and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and coordination of services.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress, address concerns, and develop strategies for improvement.
  • Document patient information accurately and thoroughly, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment, promoting a culture of respect, empathy, and open communication.

Requirements:

  • Current RN licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in acute care or detoxification settings.
  • Strong knowledge of addiction medicine, including pharmacology, behavioral interventions, and evidence-based treatments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience working with adolescents and young adults.
