Job Summary:
The Fulton County Housing Authority is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to serve as its Executive Director. This is a highly responsible administrative and professional level position that requires the ability to plan, organize, and direct all operations and activities of the Authority.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the Public Housing, Housing Choice Voucher, and Rural Development programs.
- Prepare and monitor annual operating budgets.
- Coordinate all staffing and human resource activities.
- Coordinate the development of the five-year plan and capital funding initiatives.
- Exercise independent judgment and initiative in making decisions.
- Apply extensive knowledge of regulations governing Public Housing and Housing Choice Voucher programs and procedures.
Requirements:
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to public housing authority operations.
- Thorough experience supervising support staff.
- Certification as a Public Housing Manager from a HUD-approved organization is required or must be obtained within one year of employment.
