We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nursing Department Leader to join our team at Grace HealthPros, LLC. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our Emergency Department and ensuring that our patients receive the highest level of care.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement departmental goals, plans, and standards to achieve clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical objectives.
- Direct and evaluate departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management.
- Plan and monitor staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.
- Prepare, monitor, and evaluate departmental budgets to ensure compliance with allocated funding.
- Coordinate and direct internal/external audits.
- Create and foster an environment that encourages professional growth and development.
- Integrate evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.
- Minimum Education: Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree highly preferred; Master's degree in a related field highly preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in Emergency Department Services; 3+ years of progressive experience in a leadership role highly preferred.
- Current Alabama Registered Nurse license or a current Compact State Registered Nurse license without restrictions.
- Handle with Care certification and American Heart Association; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire or transfer.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Advanced Stroke Life Support (ASLS), and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required within 90 days of hire or transfer.
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) certification preferred within one year of employment/eligibility.
