Action Youth America is in search of a dedicated Percussion Ensemble Leader to enhance our after-school programming.

As a key member of our team, you will work with elementary students, guiding them in the art of drumming and fostering their musical talents.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design and execute captivating drumline sessions that cater to the diverse interests and skill levels of young learners.
• Instruct students in essential drumming techniques, focusing on rhythm, stick handling, and coordination.
• Organize and lead group rehearsals, ensuring that students master and perform drumline sequences.
• Create a welcoming and supportive educational atmosphere.
• Maintain clear communication with students and fellow program staff.

Employment Type: Part-time, Contract

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm (exact start times may vary)

Qualifications:

• At least six months of experience in child care.
• A High School Diploma or G.E.D. is required.
• Commitment to a full academic year is essential.
• Successful completion of a Live Scan (criminal background check via fingerprinting) is mandatory.
• Passing a TB test is required.
• Reliable transportation is necessary.
