About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our team at McLoughlin Dental Care. As a key member of our patient care team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional oral health care to our patients, promoting preventive care and overall maintenance of their dental health.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough dental hygiene procedures, including cleanings, exams, and patient education.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with our dental team to ensure seamless patient care and exceptional outcomes.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in dental hygiene and technology to provide the highest level of care.
Requirements:
  • Current dental hygienist license in OR and an Associate or Bachelor degree in dental hygiene (where required).
  • Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening, and medical history documentation.
  • CPR Certification.
Preferred Experience:
  • Experienced Hygienist and New Graduates.
  • Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays, and electronic medical record systems.
  • Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet the needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/Doctor/Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Prolonged periods sitting and standing.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times.
  • Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year.
