Job Title: Driver (DOT - CDL)

Fastenal is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Driver (DOT - CDL) to join our team. As a Driver (DOT - CDL), you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor trailer or straight truck to deliver goods to our branches and customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize a handheld scanner to track and manage inventory
  • Unload product from trucks by hand, pallet jack, or by forklift
  • Provide excellent service to our branches and customers by delivering product in a prompt and efficient manner
  • Interact with our shipping and receiving departments
  • Maintain a clean work environment within our equipment
  • Inspect and report defects or issues in equipment
  • Comply with DOT and Fastenal safety regulations
  • Participate in activities and programs that help the company achieve health, safety, and sustainability objectives
Requirements:
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Possess or are currently in progress of obtaining a Commercial Driver's License
  • Possess a current Health Card or have the ability to obtain one
  • Possess a current Haz Mat endorsement or have the ability to obtain one (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico, and Guam only)
  • Meet Fastenal driving record requirements
  • Demonstrate strong working knowledge of the DOT regulations in regards to a CDL Driver
  • Maintain DOT regulated Drivers Hours-of-Service
  • Willingness to drive interstate routes across state lines
