Position Overview:

We are currently looking for a Family Office Accountant to join our team and support the financial operations of a high-net-worth family office. The successful candidate will excel in a fast-paced setting, demonstrating a keen ability to manage multiple financial transactions while focusing on enhancing processes and scalability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate bookkeeping and general ledger for personal entities associated with the Managing Partner.
  • Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements along with other periodic reports.
  • Oversee bank reconciliations, manage cash flow, and ensure comprehensive insurance coverage.
  • Handle accounts payable and related documentation efficiently.
  • Drive initiatives for process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Manage the chart of accounts effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with loan covenants and related requirements.
  • Conduct property management and vendor oversight as needed.
  • Exhibit sound judgment and integrity in all financial dealings.
  • Uphold a high level of confidentiality and discretion in all matters.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in family offices, hedge funds, private equity, or fund administration is preferred.
  • Knowledge of tax filing deadlines and experience working with external tax professionals.
  • Familiarity with co-investment structures and carried interest.
  • Experience with Oil & Gas assets is advantageous.
  • Proficient in managing Private Funds, Hedge Funds, Real Estate Assets, and vendor relationships.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and analytical skills.
  • CPA certification is a plus but not mandatory.
  • High proficiency in Excel and Word; expert-level experience with QuickBooks is essential.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, proactive, and trustworthy.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility in all aspects of the accounting role.
