Job Summary:We are looking for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others. As a Direct Support Professional, you will be responsible for providing daily living support, training, and assistance to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This includes facilitating daily activities, providing personal care, and promoting independence and choice.
Responsibilities:- Provide daily living support, including personal care, meal preparation, and housekeeping
- Assist individuals with training and activities, such as social skills, community access, and daily living skills
- Monitor and maintain a safe and healthy environment
- Administer medications and treatments as directed
- Participate in in-service training and professional development
- Collaborate with the Individual Support Team to develop and implement individualized support plans
- High school education or equivalent
- Previous experience in supporting individuals with disabilities (preferred)
- Valid driver's license and good driving record (preferred)
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Satisfactory completion of background checks and post-offer screenings
