Job Title: Senior Data Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst to join our team at My Florida Corp Defunct. As a Senior Data Analyst, you will be responsible for performing advanced level work under the limited supervision of the Government Operations Consultant III-SES and serving as a subject matter expert on the Alteryx platform.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and manage the Alteryx and Alteryx Server tools for the Bureau.
  • Provide guidance to users and serve as the Alteryx Server Site administrator.
  • Create automated Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) workflows in tools such as Alteryx to improve process efficiency.
  • Support and serve as the back up to the Database Administrator in the maintenance of the Workforce Information Database (WID).
  • Query and manipulate data using programming languages such as R, Python, and/or Structured Query Language (SQL).
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of reporting tools, publications, and website design ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex reports and data.
  • Assist in building, implementing, and supporting visualizations in Tableau using various data sources including (but not limited to) Microsoft SQL Server, Excel, and Snowflake.
  • Research and gather economic, demographic, and employment data needed for projects and assignments.
  • Clean and format data sets to be used in visualizations, spreadsheets, programming, model building, statistics, and regression analysis.
  • Contribute to projects and assignments as part of project teams, ensuring timely, accurate, and high-quality delivery while maintaining effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Responsible for mapping and documenting processes, coordinating process improvement efforts, and maintaining records of data sources, assumptions, and methodologies used in projects and analytical tasks.

  • Skill in MS SQL Server, Postgres, Oracle, Snowflake, or other Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) and Data Warehouses.
  • Skill in database administration.
  • Skill in Extracting, Transforming, and Loading (ETL) data across a variety of platforms and tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • One year of experience in data analysis, collection, and storage.
  • One year of experience using Alteryx, R, Python, and/or other Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) tools.
  • One year of experience in SQL queries, including intermediate/advanced level queries and scripting.
  • Alteryx Designer Core Certification or Alteryx Designer Advanced Certification.
  • Tableau Desktop Specialist or Tableau Certified Data Analyst certification.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new software tools, programming languages, and domain areas.
  • Skill in MS SQL Server, Postgres, Oracle, Snowflake, or other Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) and Data Warehouses.
