Job Summary:
The Police Officer plays a vital role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff at WakeMed. This position involves patrolling assigned areas, enforcing visitor control, and investigating any irregularities that may arise.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide security and protection for patients, visitors, and staff
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the hospital campus
• Respond to and investigate incidents, accidents, or security breaches
• Provide information and assistance to patients, visitors, and staff

Requirements:
• 2 years of law enforcement experience preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Associate's degree in police science or a related field preferred
• Certification by the NC Training and Standards Commission or completion of basic law enforcement training within the last 12 months required

Work Schedule:
Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, 6pm-6am

Weekend and Call Requirements:
Every other weekend, no call requirements
