Water Aerobics Instructor

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Aqua Fitness Instructor to lead engaging water-based exercise sessions.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in aquatic fitness instruction and a commitment to fostering health and wellness among participants.

• Arrive at least 15 minutes prior to class, prepared with a structured routine and appropriate music.
• Welcome and introduce participants to create a friendly environment.
• Instruct participants on safe exercise practices while ensuring their safety through positive reinforcement.
• Deliver classes with enthusiasm and energy, inspiring participants to perform at their best.
• If unable to attend, arrange for a substitute instructor and promptly notify the supervisor.
• Keep members informed about upcoming events and encourage their involvement.
• Assist with special events to enhance the visibility of the department and club.
• Maintain cleanliness and functionality of the studio and equipment.
• Enforce club policies in the event of unsafe situations.

• Ability to demonstrate proper exercise techniques effectively.
• Active participation in classes is essential.
• Must maintain excellent physical fitness to instruct classes.
• Ability to stand, move, walk, and bend throughout the duration of a shift.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Current AFAA or ACE Primary Group Exercise certification and/or relevant specialty certifications (e.g., Les Mills, Zumba, AEA, CPT).
• High School Diploma is preferred.
• Prior experience in teaching group exercise classes is highly desirable.
• Exceptional customer service skills are required.
• Strong communication skills to engage positively with diverse populations.
• Proficient in computer skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
