Die Set Assembler/Inspector

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Die Set Assembler/Inspector to join our team at Integrity Fab & Machine, Inc. This role is responsible for all aspects of assembly operations and inspection, including set-up and sign off of finished products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare work by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists, gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
• Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
• Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
• Verify specifications by measuring completed component.
• Resolve assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
• Keep equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
• Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with safety procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Maintain supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
• Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
• Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Achieve production, quality, and safety standards to maximize output.
• Communicate with co-workers, management, clients, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
• Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.

Work Environment/Physical Demands: This job operates in a manufacturing shop environment. Exposure to noise, chemicals, and materials consistent with a manufacturing environment is constant. This is a physically demanding position; maintaining the physical strength to lift materials up to 50 pounds, endure prolonged standing, dexterity, and stamina is necessary.

Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent work experience and demonstrated competency may substitute for a degree. Good planning, organization, and follow-up skills are required. Must have the demonstrated ability to safely operate all material handling equipment, including fork trucks, overhead cranes, jib cranes, battery magnets, hand trucks, pallet jacks, etc.

Preferred Education and Experience: Two-year degree in CNC Operations or equivalent CAD program. Additional technical training in machining centers, mills, lathes, etc. Certification from MidMichigan College Manufacturing Pre-Employment Training.
