Job Summary

The Medical Laboratory Scientist II performs a variety of laboratory tests and procedures to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. This role requires the use of specialized equipment, instruments, and computer systems. The successful candidate will have the ability to evaluate and report patient results using independent judgment within established testing methods.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests and procedures
  • Evaluate and report patient results using independent judgment
  • Contribute to the maintenance of laboratory equipment and supplies
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures and instrumentation
  • Train new employees and/or students in laboratory procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 2 years of clinical experience in a moderate and high complexity testing laboratory
  • Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology
  • American Society for Clinical Pathology or National Credentialing Agency for Laboratory Personnel certification

Work Schedule

The Medical Laboratory Scientist II will work a 7-on/7-off schedule, Wednesday to Tuesday, 9pm to 7am. Weekend and call requirements are as needed.
