Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs): Create and implement personalized education programs for students with speech and language disorders.
  • Conduct Assessments and Provide Therapy: Conduct thorough assessments and provide targeted therapy to support students' articulation, fluency, and overall language development.
  • Collaborate with Teachers and Parents: Work closely with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate speech and language goals into classroom activities and support students' educational success.
  • Maintain Detailed Records: Accurately document therapy sessions, student progress, and communication with stakeholders.
  • Participate in Professional Development: Stay current with best practices and educational strategies through ongoing training and professional development.
Qualifications:
  • Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology: Possess a master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field.
  • Valid SLP License or Certification: Hold a valid SLP license or certification in California.
  • Experience in a School Setting: Preferably have experience working in a school setting, but not required.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Demonstrate excellent communication skills to work effectively with students, families, and school personnel.
  • Organizational Skills: Possess strong organizational skills to manage documentation and track progress.
  • Collaborative Team Player: Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
