We are seeking a Culinary Specialist to become a part of our Assisted Living team.

This position features a flexible schedule and is responsible for the preparation and cooking of meals as assigned, utilizing standardized recipes to uphold established culinary standards that ensure high-quality care.

The culinary role will also involve plating meals to enhance visual appeal, encouraging consumption among our residents.

This flexible culinary services position entails:

• 8 hours per pay period
• Day shifts
• Early Wage Access, allowing cash out of wages before payday

Opened in 2018, Amira Choice of Plymouth is one of our newest senior living communities.

We are situated at a prime intersection in the Northwest suburb of Plymouth.

Our facility offers 94 units of Independent Living, Assisted Living, as well as Memory Care and Care Suites.

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare meals by adhering to standardized recipes

• Handle and prepare food safely, following established policies and infection control standards

• Ensure timely meal production and service for residents

• Set up line service for meal distribution

• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment and work areas after each use

• Assist with special events as needed

• Support the Culinary Director in supervising and training culinary staff

Qualifications:

Required:
• ServSafe certification (must be obtained within 90 days of hire)

• Basic math skills and proficiency in Microsoft applications

• Strong problem-solving and time management abilities

• Effective written and verbal communication skills

• Must be at least 18 years of age

Preferred:
• Vocational or technical training/education/degree

• High School Diploma or GED preferred

• Previous cooking experience in a similar setting

• Experience with scratch cooking.
