Job Title: Officer, Safety & Security

Responsibilities:
  • Prevent unauthorized access to our facilities and restricted areas using advanced security technology.
  • Monitor safety, security, and fire alarm systems, as well as onsite CCTV, and respond promptly to any incidents.
  • Conduct regular visual inspections of key assets and locations within the facility, both inside and outside, in all weather conditions.
  • Act as a brand ambassador, providing clear and concise information to customers, employees, and visitors to ensure compliance with facility rules and regulations.
  • In the event of an emergency, support the emergency plan, including providing clear direction to all occupants.
  • Document daily activities and report any significant security and safety incidents.
  • Assess and de-escalate situations that may pose a threat to the safety or security of anyone within the facility.
  • Provision temporary or permanent access for authorized individuals.
Requirements:
  • 0-2 years of experience in a security, customer service, or data center environment (preferred but not required).
  • Sound judgment and excellent customer service skills to make timely decisions that promote the IMDC brand while meeting customer needs and security standards.
  • Effective communication skills to convey messages and requirements to customers, team members, and other stakeholders.
  • Multitasking skills to manage multiple security and ticket queue systems.
  • Attention to detail to understand and follow documented processes and Iron Mountain's safety code.
  • Dedication and desire to learn and grow within the company.
  • Technology aptitude, with preferred experience in Access Control systems and ticketing system software.
  • Basic computer data entry skills.
  • Availability for overtime work and varied working hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to obtain security clearance via government or other agency background check (may be required for customer support).
