Job Title: Dual Enrollment Coordinator

Job Summary:

The Dual Enrollment Coordinator is a key member of the North Central Michigan College team, responsible for coordinating the college's dual enrollment program with high schools in our service area. This role involves administrative functions, including enrollment, registration, advising, and monitoring of high school students enrolled in college-level courses on campus, online, and at their respective high schools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with campus departments to ensure seamless scheduling, enrollment, registration, and support for dual-enrolled students.
  • Work with high school counselors to identify eligible students, coordinate course placement, advising services, orientations, registration, and support services.
  • Develop and implement marketing materials, recruitment, and outreach activities in collaboration with College personnel and partnering school administrators.
  • Promote dual-enrolled students to enroll in college upon high school graduation.
  • Ensure accurate and complete paperwork.
  • Develop presentations for high schools or other stakeholders in the service area.
  • Maintain agreements with partnering schools and districts in accordance with College policies and applicable federal and state laws and regulations.
  • Identify and resolve operational problems, administrative issues, and workflow matters raised by faculty, College administrators, high school administrators, and/or students in the program.
  • Monitor dual enrollment numbers and program effectiveness.
  • Ensure effective communication and timely response to inquiries from key stakeholders.
  • Monitor program participants' progress in college courses and connect students to campus and community resources as needed.
  • Assist in tracking and communicating with students enrolled in the Early College Program and refer to departmental resources as necessary.
  • Coordinate campus and community functions related to the dual enrollment program and collaborate with the Director of Admission to market high school student enrollment options.
  • Assist with Admissions events and activities as needed.
  • Coordinate concurrent class offerings at high school locations and enrollments for those offerings.
  • Assist in providing new high school instructors' degree information to the Vice President of Academic Affairs for vetting of HLC qualifications to teach subject matter.
  • Advise students on proper course selection to meet program requirements at North Central, including Early College students.
  • Assist students with the enrollment process, including placement in English/Math to ensure enrollment in appropriate classes for the student, including Early College students.
  • Develop educational plans with students, working towards North Central completion and/or transfer plans, including Early College Students.
  • Develop the overall concurrent class schedule for the Early College program, including courses to be taken year one through year four.
  • Develop semester and annual reports for the Dual Enrollment program, including reports for the individual Early College programs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required (Master's degree preferred).
  • Minimum of two years full-time experience in an educational environment required (background in K-12 and community college recruiting and advising preferred).
  • Positive human relations skills and experience in presenting to large groups; organizational and computer skills (particularly Microsoft Office).
  • Ability to research, write reports, analyze data, and write clearly.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of community college philosophy and North Central Community College vision, mission, and values.
