About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Technician 5 to join our team at Genesis10. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for providing general maintenance support for our assigned buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of building systems
  • Conduct repairs and replacements of mechanical equipment, including HVAC systems, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Inspect and test building systems to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless maintenance operations
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to optimize system performance and reduce downtime
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience in facilities maintenance or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of building services, mechanical systems, and HVAC systems
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • City & Guilds or equivalent in an engineering, building services, construction, or related discipline
  • SMSTMS / IOSH / NEBOSH certification
  • Manager or supervisory experience of contractors for both remedial service and maintenance
  • Certificated assessor for building services activities, including confined space, hot works, working at height
